Cut one 3½" square for the fire for the center. |
| The strips for the logs are to be cut from Dark and Light Green Christmas prints:
Cut three strips, 2" x 15", 2" x 21", and 2" x 27" of light green fabric and of dark green fabric, or of scraps using three light green prints and three dark green prints. |
| Looking at the sample, piece the block by sewing strip No. 1 (light) to the center square then cutting off the end and using it the second time around the center square for No. 2.
In a counter-clockwise rotation, start with No. 1 and end with No.12. The first two strips of the round will be the light fabric and the second two strips of the round will be the dark fabric. |
