Block of the Month -- February, 2008
“Scrappy Heart”

Block Size -- 9" x 9" finished (9½" x 9½" with seam allowance)
(pattern adapted from Maggie Malone’s 5500 Quilt Block Designs, #838, “Heart”)

Thinking of those we love, who may have been touched in some way by cancer…make this scrappy heart for the monthly raffle, then make any block of your choice, using pink fabrics, and bring it to the February meeting with your BOM - you will receive 2 additional chances to win the BOMs. We will assemble the extra blocks into a quilt to be auctioned at our 2008 Quilt Show in October, Breast Cancer Awareness month, with proceeds to be donated to cancer research. Thank you for your participation!
BVQ thanks BOM winner Nancy Campbell for donating the 15 blocks she received! We now have 30 blocks for the Pink Quilt. Check our Quilt Show page in October to see a a picture of the finished quilt, and plan on bidding on it at the BVQ Quilt Show Auction on October 18, 2008!
