Background triangles
Cream
(24) 2" squares

(8) 2" 1¼" x 5" rectangles
Assembly Instructions:
Align one 2" square at one end of a goose fabric rectangle; sew diagonally. Trim ¼" outside seam; press seam toward the large triangle. Repeat with another square on the opposite end of the rectangle to form a goose unit.
Bonus units: before trimming off the extra fabric, sew another seam ½" away from the first seam. Then trim between the seams - the excess will be a finished mini half-square triangle square which you can use in another project!
Following the diagram, join 3 goose units; press seams toward base of goose triangles. Sew a narrow background strip to each long side of three-goose unit. Press seams toward narrow strips. Repeat with remaining patches to make a total of 4 units. Assemble in a setting of your choice.
Tips to consider:
Use 100% cotton fabrics for the block. Wash fabrics before cutting. Do not use fabrics that bleed or run!
Arrange the patches on a piece of felt, flannel or batting before sewing to aid in assembly.
Stitch all seams ¼". Please try to be accurate!
Unless otherwise specified, press seams toward the dark fabric if possible, taking care not to stretch any bias edges.
