This year's challenge was based on "COLOR". There were two fabrics to choose from: one with a cream background and one with a purple background.
 
The challenge was to feature one of the colors in the print and make that color predominate in the quilt. Requirements were:
The subject is your choice.
You can piece, appliqué or use any technique you like.
Any embellishment can be added.
The finished piece should measure 20" x 20".
Twelve wonderful and varied Challenge quilts were displayed and voted on at the August 14th Guild meeting/picnic. Cash prizes were awarded to Dawn Romanczak (1st place), Ann Tumolo (2nd place) and Karen Martin (3rd place).
